There are exciting changes coming to Spoonful of Sugar Free, and I need your help! I’m thinking about creating a “Sugar Free Cookbook Community,” a place dedicated to allergy-friendly and diet-restricted recipes. These recipes would be an ultimate source for all people (like you!) to create a profile and submit recipes to share with the world. This would also be a great place to organize and store your recipes online.
I only have so much time to create and post recipes for you, and I know there are many people out there who have great recipes to share, too. This program would be a great way to generate lots of recipes for people with all sorts of diets like paleo, vegan, gluten-free, sugar-free, etc. This would be a great resource for those who need a little inspiration with their special diets, and I think everyone could benefit from it. The only way it could work, though, is if you contribute!
What do you think of this idea? I created some polls below to help me decide. I would really appreciate it if you would take a minute to answer the poll truthfully, thanks!
Please note that if this program is created, it will not interfere with my recipes and I will continue to post. This will be an additional resource.
***If you received this post via email, you must go to my website page to vote in the polls. Thank you!
If you have any additional ideas, questions, or comments about this potential program, please leave a comment on my site below.

Great idea! Would you consider a category for fat free, no sugar added vegans?
Sugar Free Alex says
Yes! The beauty of this would be the flexibility to add many different categories and filters.

As there are so many different “categories” I think it would be great to have some kind of tagging or data base system so that a view could click off (for example) no sugar, no dairy, no coconut and want a breakfast food: and everything like that would appear. I don’t know how to do that, but it seems like it would be great.
Or just list things by food type, like many cookbooks, but label each item by the various categories it fits into.
I hope you are techy or someone else with these skills will help you.

I think this is a great idea! I would like to share recipes (with photos), but I am not at that place now – just in the place of looking at others’ recipes. (I can totally understand that you don’t have the time to post as many as you’d like, Alex!)

This is a wonderful idea. So many recipes that are gf contain coconut and it breaks my hands out in a rash. Would love to share recipes that contain no wheat, corn, potato, soy or cheese. My world is limited and it would be a blessing to be able to share.

MIchelle, you might try grass fed, salt free butter as a substitute for coconut oil. It has slightly different characteristics but could work well for you.

I think this is a fantastic idea, and I’m sure I could contribute a few sugar-free, wheat free recipes…

Love this idea as I am gluten and sugar free. This would provide a recipe clearinghouse for all sorts of culinary diversity. Count me in Alex!

I don’t know how many actual recipes I would have to post as very few are original, but I’d love reading and cooking from this and contributing what I have.
Thank you for the recipes you already have here. All have tried have been good! It would be fun and helpful to have even more, so having others contribute is a good way to do that.

Thanks for the input, Lyda! I’ll keep this in mind.

I love this idea, my partner has recently been diagnosed as being diabetic – not good as he has a sweet tooth (me too so I am trying my best to be suppoertive, but have found myself over compensating with bars of chocolate when he is not around). Unfortunately I am rubbish when it comes to cooking and creating food. This website has given me inspiration – although I wouldn’t post I and my partner would get a lot of use and help from other peoples generous contributions.
Thank you!

Rachel,
So glad my site has helped. Best of luck to you!

I’m sorry that I haven’t check back to this site recently and didn’t see this question. It would be lovely to have another resource and have you continue to create and publish recipes.
Ben Ansley says
Alex, I have figured out several no grain, no legume, no sugar recipes that actually taste pretty good and would be happy to share them. Your site has always been inspirational since you are so healthy.
