A couple weekends ago I made croissants.
Homemade Croissants.
Full of Butter and Refined Flour.
It took an entire day.
And I enjoyed every second of the rolling and kneading.
“It is not the destination, but the journey that makes it worth while.”
(But it was nice seeing everyone’s faces light up as they bit into my hard work)
Thought-provoking, mind-prodding question of the day:
In your opinion, what is the hardest thing to make culinary-wise?
P.S. I used Cook’s Illustrated’s croissant recipe.

You have a lucky family!! I’ve been loving the fun you’ve been having with your photos lately too. Personally, anything with yeast intimidates me, I tried once and failed.

Those are amazing. Your title is right, you really are an artist.
In my opinion, anything food dish that requires absolute concentration for more than 11 minutes straight is the most challenging…Unfortunately, most things fall into that category.

Oh my. That is one of my goals!! My biggest accomplishment I think was chicken parmegiano. It was really daunting, I don’t know why, now. Lol

Did you omit the sugar for these?
Sugar Free Alex says
Nope, I made them for my family. Went straight up with the butter and white flour…they loved them! It was just something I had to make at least once in my life.
Patty says
Wait.. so you didn’t even eat them? Your family could eat them, but why couldn’t you? You’re both human.
Sugar Free Alex says
Patty,
I chose not to eat them because the gluten from flour hurts my stomach. I tried a little bite, and it was good! I just didn’t really want to eat the whole thing. The purpose of making them was the process for me, not the result. And I had fun sharing them with family and friends.
