Welcome to day thirteen of the Sugar Free Challenge!
Eeek! It’s friday the thirteenth-better find a four-leaf clover. Today’s menu will include lots of green because green is the color of clovers….so green is lucky?
Here is today’s green sample menu:
Breakfast: Ultimate Veggie Omelet made with lots of green veggies. Or how about some Green Pancakes?
Lunch: a big green salad drizzled with ginger-miso dressing
Snack: Green Pistachio Butter spread on anything you wish (how about on top of green celery?).
Dinner: Socca pizza topped with Green Pesto and Green Grilled Veggies.
Dessert: Green Mint Chocolate Chip Shake.
Exercise Option: For those of you who chose to take part of the exercise challenge, your challenge today is to do 30 crunches, 15 squats, 10 pushups, 20 calf raises.
THOUGHT-PROVOKING, MIND-PRODDING QUESTION OF THE DAY:
What are your favorite green recipes?
Remember that you can track what you eat on the printable Challenge Checklist.
Thank you for showing me that completely added sugar free is possible. I habitually eat well but had been falling short of my goals over the Holidays. This challenge seemed like the kick in the pants I needed. I am amazed by the changes Ive noticed so far and it’s only Day 13! My energy is up, I fall asleep and wake up easily, cravings are gone, and my skin is clear! Thank you!!
Anne,
Thanks you for the sweet comment. It really made my day. I am so glad you are feeling great on the sugar-free diet!
I made socca finally and loved it! Next up is this socca pizza idea. Green… KALE!
I love green veggies so this is a toughie for me….but I just discovered the green monster smoothie craze. I am totally digging them. Its a great way to start your day.
Courtney,
Love green smoothies! It is crazy how you can put spinach in a fruit smoothie….and it actually tastes great!
I thought since the sugar free challenge is taking place you might be interested in Dr. Oz’s video he did on sugar substitutes. The video talks about additiction to sugar free substitutes, how it may increase your appetite etc. Thank you so much for all the work and inspiratin you give; especially during this sugar free challenge.

Hi Alex! What an amazing challenge! I’ve been trying to eat healthy too as a part of my new year resolution. I want to continue so I’m taking a baby step. I’ll keep coming back to get inspiration. Thank you for sharing what you eat – it’s helpful to get some ideas!
