Welcome to day ten of the Sugar Free Challenge! Today is officially the last day of the challenge. I have had so much fun creating sample menus and helping you all with the challenge. A big thank you to everyone who joined! I hope you all had a great time learning about (and eating!) sugar-free food. Maybe you found that it wasn’t as hard as you thought? Or perhaps you found you ate too much sugar before?
Now for the winners of the giveaway. All those who joined the challenge were entered for the giveaway.
Winner of Artisana: Absie
Winner of Crunchmaster: Francesca Holland
Congratulations ladies! I will be emailing you shortly.
Now onto today’s sample menu:
Breakfast: Veggie Omelet
Lunch: Steak Salad. Sliced steak, spinach, cucumbers, red peppers, onions, olives, fresh strawberries all drizzled in balsamic vinegar and ground black pepper.
Dinner: Pesto Socca Pizza with Grilled Veggies and Chicken Sausages
Dessert: Crock Pot Cinnamon applesauce
Again, thank you all so much! I have had a wonderful time with this challenge. I hope you continue to eat at least low-sugar (if not sugar-free!). A word of warning: be careful going back to sugar this week and weekend. Don’t go over board because your body is not used to eating sugar these past ten days.
Thought-provoking, mind-prodding question of the day:
How was the sugar-free challenge???!!! Please tell me all your experiences and how your body feels! I would love to know!

Lovely post! When you have the time do drop by my relatively new space. Would love to hear from you!

The challenge was definitely not as difficult as most people would think. I wish everyone would do this (even for a day!). I needed this little extra push because I had gotten back into the habit of eating too much sugar. It’ll be nice to add honey back into my smoothies, but I now have dates in the fridge ready to go too! A little dark chocolate will be my treat tomorrow 🙂

Thanks for all your hard work in putting the Sugar Free Challenge together. I especially liked all the creative menus. I didn’t notice a big change as I’ve been cutting out most sugar already. It is always fun to stretch the limits of what we think is possible.

Thanks for putting on the challenge, Alex – really enjoyed coming up with new recipes/creations to fit in with it. I feel GREAT!

Thank you Alex for hosting this challenge! I agree with the other Jane –it is fun to stretch the limits of what you think you can do! For me, I know during the last challenge I focused more on what I couldn’t have — like after this challenge I can have all these things with sugar in them. This time, I focused more on what I COULD have, and had so much more fun! Thanks for all your work!

I loved doing this challenge! I didn’t eat a lot of refined sugar before, but I could definitely tell a difference. It was actually easy and nice to have fruit and yogurt for snacks instead of refined foods like low-cal bread and fiber cereal.
My favorite recipe by far was your bitter chocolate cake made with banana puree and topped with peanut butter! And… my apple date bread which I have yet to put up on my blog… lol
Looking forward to future recipes from you and hope to do another sugar free challenge sometime soon 🙂

So glad you enjoyed the challenge! Can’t wait to see that apple-date bread. And yes, there will be another challenge. I’m planning one for hopefully after the holidays!
