Oh. my. goodness. gracious.
At Katie’s Online Bake Sale to help Japan, my Smacaroons sold for $96! Katie did such a great job with this bake sale, and she raised thousands of dollars for Japan! I can’t wait to make another batch of my Smacaroons to send off to the generous donor.

I hate Coconut! It’s actually kind of awful because when I smell Coconut it makes me nauseous. It makes me little depressed because I can’t make a lot of the recipes that you post 🙁
On another note, I tried chia seeds today. They are really filling! I haven’t made the gel yet, but I will try it out this weekend. And its all thanks to you!! I never heard of them until I started reading your blog 🙂

You don’t like coconut?! Oh no!!! So sad 🙁 My sister doesn’t like it either….You can try adding more almonds and leaving out the coconut if you want to make the smacaroons?
Congrats on trying the chia! Isn’t it fabulous?

I have always loved coconut. It either began with a sip of a pina colada or a girl scout cookie. Or maybe it was a seven layer bar? Whatever it was, I was a changed person!

I’m still not sure about coconut. Sometimes I like it, sometimes it disgusts me. On the “like” side are things like coconut macaroons, on the “disgust” side things like coconut milk in curries etc. So perhaps it has something to do with the overall sweetness vs. savoriness of a dish.
