Eat Brain Food!
Now relax, breathe and ace that test!
Thought-provoking, mind-prodding question of the day:
What are your favorite test-taking tips? Do you have any “brain foods” you like to eat?
Nicole (Picky Nicky) says
I was going to do a post about brain foods π You beat me to it! I hope your exams went well, or will go well depending on when you’re doing them. And I didn’t know cocoa nibs were a brain food π I had some sprinkled on toast with pumpkin seed butter before my exam. Now that I think of it, I did feel smarter that day π

Yeah…I took a big exam on Saturday, so I felt like posting something after!
Pumpkin Seed butter???!!! Omg! Did you make it or buy it? I want to try some!

Ugh finals are among us. My favorite brain food is eggs! What a great post. π

I hate taking tests! I have my final exam for one of my classes on Monday and then in Feb. I’m taking the ACT! Time to get studying, my mom pulled out a THICK practice workbook for the ACT for me today…ugh!
I love eating a banana with some pb for brain fuel!
Oh and today I just bought some of Baker’s unsweetened chocolate squares, I’m excited to start nibbling on them and get used to the “real” chocolate flavor!
spoonfulofsugarfree says
That was the test I took Saturday morning! I have takin it three times now….You can take it as many times as you want, and I really think it is a good idea to take it as many times as you can. You can choose what scores to send to colleges, and my scores improved each time I took it!
Yay! I am so glad you got some REAL chocolate π Tell me what you think!

So glad the test days are behind me…. but life as a college student does have its perks!
Nicole (Picky Nicky) says
I bought it at the grocery store, don’t let the nasty green colour scare you away π
Kath (Eating for Living) says
I’m happy I won’t have exams until next year! Currently I’m writing my diploma thesis and will need some more weeks for it. (It’s normal to need 6 to 12 months for it.)
Your tips are great! I’d add to take breaks regularly (every one or two hours) and go for walk at the fresh air at least once a day. (That’s good to do in a learning break.) I often feel that moving and getting oxygen helps me when I feel stuck.
Lauren @ WWoB says
Those are def brain foods but for actual tests you need CARBS girl! I was gonna write sugar but I know you and sugar dont get along so well π But the brain only runs off of glucose/carbs so you gotta get some whole grains in there for a test!
Kath (Eating for Living) says
Oh no, my comment was eaten up! Would you look into your spam filter? (Please!)
I hope learning is going well!
