This is kind of a repeat of my Hallow-Excuses Post…But I have yet another excuse for not making more of your wonderful recipes!
Excuse: I’m out of Town!
No, my little hotel room does not have a kitchen. Just a mini-fridge! Sometimes it is nice to not have to cook your own meals…but I prefer making my own food because I then know exactly what is going in it!
But, I’ll take it as it comes and eat some hotel food once in a while ๐
I was also extremely lucky to have a Whole Foods nearby to stop for a quick lunch or dinner. I love their hot and cold bars, and their warm soups do wonders on a chilly day (like today!). I just tried their Pumpkin soup, and I highly recommend it! It was a creamy, non-dairy soup that warmed my toes ๐
On another note, Spoonful of Sugar Free now has a Facebook fan page! All of my posts will be linked to the fan page, so you won’t have an excuse to miss any of my posts ๐ I’m not being pushy or anything….
Look on the right to see the Facebook button. Please click on it to access the fan page. Or CLICK HERE.
Another page I’d ย like to bring you to is Udi’s Gluten Free Bread. They are giving away a year’s worth of free bread! Check out my entry, and sign up yourself HERE. I hope you like my “Bruschetta Burger Bagel” or “BBB.”
Thought-provoking, mind-prodding question of the day:
What do you usually eat on the road? I usually try bringing snacks, and sticking to proteins and fruits and veggies. I have an upcoming post planned to address this topic of eating on the road, so stay tuned!
Also, are you plugged into Facebook? Honestly, I rarely update my status, and almost never log onto it. I will start logging on more now because of the new fan page!

gosh we hardly travel farther than to visit Grandpa but that’s an event with the little one.
so eating on the road doesn’t affect us much…PLUS when we do go to visit, my Dad never cooks so we all pile in cars and eat out.
once is good…than I’m over it and just want to go home.
yay for kitchens!

You got lucky that I just happen to be pretty damn fond of hardboiled eggs.

When I travel, I definitely bring lots and lots of oatmeal. For the plane, I’ll pack snacks like an apple with nut butter and carrots and other veggies and homemade nut/seed/fruit bars (like lara bars). Then I always have to have a microwave and fridge in my hotel room and I will have frozen dishes that I made ahead of time that I will put in the fridge and heat up when I need it. Crazy I know. Since I have to eat gluten free, I never like to rely on being able to find food where I go. I’ll go out to eat, but if it seems questionable, I’ve got a back up plan. There’s nothing worse then getting “glutened” while on travel!
I’m on facebook, but I only pop in once every month or two. ๐

I never go on facebook. I go on maybe once a month, its so lame.. I’m not in college anymore and I really dont like to network via facebook.
I find I do fine with restaurants. But I always find a deli nearby with some cold cuts and yogurt to stock the mini bar with. But I try to savor the local specialties. When in rome….

I know! Facebook is just a hassle. It sucks up time-time that could be spent on something more important than reading someone’s passing thoughts!
