Hi all! When I started becoming involved in the “blogging world” earlier this year, I didn’t know where this blog would take me. Well, I have met so many new people, and have learned so much! I love the community that surrounds the “healthy blog” world, and I love learning about new recipe ideas. However, I feel like there are so many more good recipes out there, and there are so many new people to meet.
Solution: Meet more people through recipes!
How? For the next two weeks I will be trying a brand new recipe everyday, and post about it.
Where will I get the recipes? From you!!!! Send me your favorite recipe, or link to the recipe, and I will try it out. Comment below with the link, or email me at spoonfulofsugarfree@gmail.com.
Spread the word!!! I want to meet more people in the blogging world! Ask them to send me a recipe, too.
Don’t have a blog? No worries! I want to meet you, too! Send me a recipe, and tell your friends, too!
There is a small catch, though. The recipes have to be sugar-free since I cannot eat sugar. Or you can send me your recipe that has sugar in it, and I will convert it to sugar free! I love a good challenge, and this is a great opportunity to have your favorite recipes made sugar-free!
What will you have me make, eat, bake, create, saute, boil, chop, freeze, or enjoy???

You know what I started thinking this week ? Why not make a savory oatmeal ? Take the oatmeal and add a mashed sweet potato that has been roasted. I read on cara’s cravings, I think she put shredded zucchini into her oatmeal. I’ve also been thinking about pineapple and some of that coconut butter, like a pina colada oatmeal. As for savory oatmeal, I think almost any vegetable would work as a topping, maybe add some olive oil, salt, pepper. Some of the macrobiotic people eat vegetables for breakfast, why not?

Here’s my recipe for oatmeal worth eating. It has plenty of fruit and the only sugar is what you add afterwords.

hey, try those donut holes I linked you.
i made them today, minus the sugar (except for dates)
SO GOOD.
plus they are raw and great for a pre workout snack (which is why I made them)
it’s in my recipe link or I can re send you the link.
I’ll give my recipe list another look and see if there is anything else sugar free for you (or maybe you can sugar free one of mine)
now THAT’s an IDEAR.
love your plan! will be lots of fun!
OH and I made the cookies. I needed to shop the unsweetened chocolate better because some of the bites are bitter….BUT the ones not like that are GREAT and my son loves them!
(me too)

Alex this is such a good idea! I want to do it too!
I would be honored for you to make any of my recipes 🙂 some would be harder to make sugar free than others. Im just gonna put the link to my recipe page and if you see one you want to make, then go for it! I have put my favorites in parenthesis…

Hi Alex! I really love the new ideas I learn about on your blog site! I especially love coconut. Could you try to make a coconut crust for your “cheescake”? I think that would be really tasty!

Hehe…ok!

I just started my blog today (yay!) and this is the first recipe I posted since I’ve been sort of addicted to it lately – http://kissesforbreakfast.com/2010/10/19/the-perfect-day/
It is an overnight oats recipe that I make into a parfait and I call it Marathon Mud Pie. It’s super simple and very filling!
spoonfulofsugarfree says
Congrats on creating your own blog! Yay! The name is super cute 😉 The Mudslide sounds decadent-can’t wait to make it!

Hey!
I have a couple of recipes – one for Blueberry muffins with no sugar. And just made an oatmeal loaf that has no *sugar, sugar* but does use maple syrup..I’m sure you could modify it though maybe with applesauce or whatever.
They’re in my Recipes section.
I can’t abstain from the sugar though…I suck 🙁
spoonfulofsugarfree says
Oh yum, those look super good! Can’t wait to try ’em!
