Ugga Ugga

July 16, 2011 By Alex@Spoonful of Sugar Free

Thank you everyone for the wonderful recipe ideas on my mushroom haul! There are so many recipes I want to try now…I might need more mushrooms!

However, that is going to have to wait because I have come down with a horrible cold/flu. My head hurts, my throat is soar, my body aches, and I keep blowing my nose every two minutes! Ugga Ugga…

While the sun is shining on this beautiful Saturday, I’m stuck in bed. I can’t do too much work on the computer, either, because my head hurts too much. So my day is looking like this:

Lots of sleep.

Hot tea.

Miso Soup (Hey! Maybe I’ll make some mushroom miso soup!)

And even some strawberry ice cream. (It has no added sugar and it is full of vitamin C, so why not?)

Thought-provoking, mind-prodding question of the day:

Any good movie suggestions?

You should watch 500 Days of Summer or He’s Just Not That Into You! Two of my favorites 😀

Feel better, and try making some chicken soup!

    Aww, feel better!

I can definitely give you some movie recs (hehe, I’m a journalist and at times a professh film critic, so I see a lot). Can you tell me what kind of films you like?

      Really?! Wow!

Well…I basically like every kind of movie except horror-I hate horror films. Freak me out (I guess that’s the point… 😛 ) Comedy and action are always fun 😀 Something cute or uplifting…or thought-provoking…..I’m not into stupid films, though. Not worth my time.

        Ok!

If you are cool with animation, I LOVE Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke, and How to Train Your Dragon. The second is especially thought provoking, but fun too.

Some cute or funny films I also like:
        – Waitress
        – 10 Things I Hate About You
        – The Princess Bride
        – Amalie
        – Edward Scissorhands
        – Paris, Je T’aime
        – Some Like it Hot
        – Ladyhawke
        – Shaun of the Dead – it’s silly humor but it’s great satire and characters
        – Hot Fuzz
        – Heathers
        – Fight Club
        – The Fall

        Feel better!

Feel better Alex! Lately I’ve been loving documentaries about some really interesting topics. Not sure if you have netflix instant que but there are tons, and they might even keep your mind off of being sick. Also I love factory girl, about part of andy warhol’s film making.
