Change is Good

April 18, 2011 By Alex@Spoonful of Sugar Free

Where’d my hair go?!

I got about 6 inches cut off! What do you think?

Also, look up at your address bar. I am no longer spoonfulofsugarfree.wordpress.com, but spoonfulofsugarfree.com! Yay!

So what’s a girl to do with a domain of her own? Make business cards, of course!

My mom was a graphic designer, so she taught me how to use photoshop at a young age. I used to make business cards just for fun, and I made them all the time for homework and other business endeavors of mine. I always have her look over my work, and she gives her input so I can create the best business card I can!

Also, remember when I told you my Smacaroons sold at Katie’s Bake Sale for Japan for $96? Well I am sending a triple batch off today in an adorable little jar for the gracious bidder!

I sure do hope the Smacaroons arrive safely!

If you haven’t made them yet, I strongly encourage you to do so! They are sweet and salty, tropical yet comforting, and oh so healthy.

Thought-provoking, mind-prodding question of the day:

Are you comfortable with change? What do you think about it? Have you had any big or small changes in your life lately?

Honestly, I love changes. I think it gives me a fresh outlook on life, and it inspires me to have a little hop in my step πŸ˜‰ When I was little, I used to share a room with my sister. Every few months we would totally rearrange our room. On that day-our stuff would be everywhere! Beds turned upside down, drawers emptied, knick-knacks Β thrown all over the floor! SO MUCH FUN!

Yay for the haircut, short hair in the hot summer is always so nice! My hair is getting uncontrollably long, I just *sigh* don’t know if I’m really ready to cut it! πŸ™‚ I will have to soon, though! πŸ™‚

The smacaroons look amazing! Also, congrats on your domain, that is purely awesome and I love the business cards!

Smacaroons are on my list (although I think of them as SMACK!aroons)…and love the business cards. They really come in handy if you ever want to photograph food in restaurants. “Don’t mind me, just read the card.” πŸ™‚

Smack Smack Smack!!!! hehe…….And you are right! No more awkward moments at restaurants when people look at me funny thinking, “look at the weirdo photographing the soup.” πŸ˜›

Thanks for all your “sugar-free” encouragement lately. I think I really did have a slight sugar addiction and your comments have been especially inspiring for me lately as I’ve been trying to cut back. It’s so hard to deny my sweet tooth but it gets a little easier every time!

    Oh, and cute hair!

Your hair looks lovely and great to hear you have your own domain! And those smackaroons? Deliciously looking:) About the changes, I like to change things sometime, just for the excitement to stepping out of my comfort zone. That said, I still eat the same breakfast for more than 3 years now:)

Love the new hair! I like change, but I am sort-of stuck in my ways about certain things. Like my hair. I’ve had it the same length my whole life and am kinda scared to change it. πŸ˜•

I do my best to keep sugar out of my eats as much as possible. I made your Smacaroons and found them to be delicious and sweet. Naturally, I shared because no one needs an entire batch of cookies around. My sugar eating friend liked them, but got upset with me for calling them cookies. She insisted on breakfast biscuit or something like that. I. however, do consider them to be cookies and to be quite tasty!

All we can do is try our best πŸ™‚ I am so glad you do so! I am also so glad you made my Smacaroons!!! And that you and your friend liked them πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ YAY!

    April 19, 2011 at 11:31 am

I LOVE your haircut!! so pretty and so-o blonde πŸ™‚ I used to wish I had blonde hair as a kid (my hair is black!) so I had a little barbie clip -in streak of blonde (must have looked like a nut! hahahah…)

    • spoonfulofsugarfree says

      April 19, 2011 at 5:39 pm

I didn’t highlight it! Just natural from the sun πŸ™‚ My hair just bleaches out so easily….I have never ever dyed it before.

But that is too funny about your little blonde streak-clip πŸ™‚ Too cute!
