#10 Friends by Recipes: Adobo-Rubbed Pork

November 12, 2010 By Alex@Spoonful of Sugar Free

Welcome to day 10 of my Friends by Recipes Challenge! Debpieper sent me this wonderful recipe for Adobo-Rubbed Pork from Clean Eating Mag.

This was extremely easy to make, and I love the addition of the black bean pico de gallo. I am so sorry, but I did not get a picture of mine this time! Thursdays are my busy days, and I made everything in the morning so that it would be ready for me to throw in the oven when I got home.

Little did I know that I would be having a 5 hour tennis camp workout with a 15 minute break thrown in instead of 2 hours, 1 hour break, and another 2 hours of tennis. You could say that I was hungry and exhausted.

As soon as I got home, I threw the pork in the oven, took a shower, put some pj’s on, and devoured the meal without taking pictures! Oh well, you can see what I ate on these pictures provided by Clean Eating Mag:

Thanks, Deb, for giving me this nourishing, tasty meal when I needed it!

Thought-provoking, mind-prodding question of the day:

What is the most tiring workout you’ve ever done? One that you just felt so tired from that you just wanted to crash? I always think that sledding is so exhausting. It takes 5 minutes to clamber up a snow-filled, steep hill, and then only 15 seconds to sled down it! What would snowy, bitterly-cold winters be like without sledding, though?

that sounds so good. I am going to have to give it a try!!!

I think my circuit workouts WEAR ME OUT.

other than that I haven’t done an exhausting work out in a while.

sledding is a blast. So even if I was exhausted I would be SMILING.

    xo

Once, I ran up this SUPER steep hill. It was something like a 27% grade, which doesnt sound nearly as bad as it really is. All I did was run up it and walk down, it took me maybe ten minutes. I fell asleep on the couch practically the SECOND I got home!

The hardest workout for me was super short. I wasn’t feeling well (only a few weeks after having my baby) and I was hoping that getting to the gym would perk me up. No so much. I got off the treadmill after a minute or two and then could only do 15 minutes on the elliptical. I then had to sit down on the floor and just stretch and gain my composure before leaving. Those 15 minutes were so hard.

most tiring workout….the first day of volleyball practice my freshman year..i’ll never forget it, nothing but running, bleachers, lunges, and weight lifting…FOR THREE HOURS. yeah, talk about pain and sorness the next day.

Wow, that looks incredibly good! The colors are amazing! (I love colorful food. :D)

The most tiring thing I’ve ever done was a 2 hours fencing course I did weekly for one semester during my undergraduate studies. We had to do warm-up exercises that involved a lot of running and jumping around, and then did fencing practice without a break. It was not only exhausting but also very hot because you have to wear that protective suit and helmet which are very warm.

That actually sounds really fun!! I bet I would love that. Do most colleges have fencing? Or is it kinda rare?

It’s none of the stardard courses that are offered at every university. It was fun, but I got an elbow inflammation (not from fencing though) and couldn’t do it anymore.
